CINES CALLAO PREMIERES `JUMP WITH ME’, ITS FIRST MUSICAL

Successful premiere of ‘Salta conmigo’, the first musical to premiere in the recent history of Cines Callao. A show created to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the SEAT Ibiza, which filled our Hall 1 with the best Spanish pop music of the last four decades, with an incredible staging that included an impressive immersive video mapping and the presence of a SEAT Ibiza in the hall, along with an original photocall presided over by the front of the vehicle.

For this special occasion, the stalls were replaced by round tables and chairs, set up in cabaret format, from where the audience could enjoy the show. The stage was also enlarged to provide more space for the performance and to include a large V-shaped access staircase.

The preview was attended by Wayne Griffiths, President of SEAT S.A., and a host of well-known faces, including David Summers, Rosario Flores, Marta Sánchez, Clara Lago and Miguel Bernardeu, as well as SEAT ambassadors Ana Guerra, Víctor Elías and Marc Clotet.

Plot and cast

Under the artistic direction of the Yllana company, ‘Salta conmigo’ tells the story of a group of young people led by Max, the extravagant owner of a place full of magic, who must face a mysterious threat that endangers the music. The staging immerses the audience in a multi-sensory experience that relives the most emblematic decades of Spanish pop music.

The cast includes established musical theatre stars such as Sam Gómez and Jan Forrellat, as well as emerging young talents such as Teresa Pejenaute, Rocío Villar, Paula Alcocer and Héctor Vázquez. All of them were able to dress and make up in the dressing rooms on the first floor of the building, next to our iconic screening room.
