MCDONALD’S ANNOUNCES ITS NEW MENU AT CIRCUITO GRAN VÍA
McDonald’s launches a campaign in Circuito Gran Vía to advertise its new menu ‘Cómo aparece en’, made up of products that highlight the cultural and social relevance of the brand by recalling its participation in memorable moments in cinema and television.
The action was shown on 8 September on the 15 large screens of the Callao Cinemas and the Lope de Vega, Coliseum and Rialto theatres. The public in the centre of Madrid was able to see some of the brand’s film appearances over the last few years.
McDonald’s has been present in sequences of films such as “The Prince of Zamunda” (1988), “Richie Rich” (1994) and “The Fifth Element” (1997); as well as in the series “Friends” (1994), “Aquí no hay quien viva” (2003) and in the second season of “Loki”, which will soon premiere on Disney +, among others.
The central idea of the ad is that everyone has a favourite McDonald’s order, even those who inhabit a fictional universe. The campaign, created by Wieden+Kennedy NY, has been adapted for the Spanish market by TBWA. Media management is by OMD.
