EVENTS IN OUR SPACE
SPECTACULAR BOXING EVENING AT CALLAO CINEMAS
Our emblematic Hall 1 was the scene of an exciting afternoon of boxing in which Jennifer ‘Tormenta’ Miranda and Jonathan ‘Maravilla’ Alonso were proclaimed champions in their respective categories. She, in the WBA Interim Featherweight World Championship, and he, in the FEDEBOL WBA Super Lightweight Championship.
Jennifer Miranda from Cadiz won the World Championship after defeating Lara Altamirano from Argentina by unanimous decision. She is the sixteenth Spaniard (men and women) to do so. For his part, the Spanish-Dominican Jonathan Alonso defeated the Argentinean Nicolás Blanco by K.O.T. in the seventh round.
A vibrant sporting evening organised by The Boxer Club boxing school in which the public could also enjoy the professional bantamweight bout between the Italian Giulio Commerso and the Bulgarian Yanko Naydenov, with victory for the former, as well as those contested by several amateur boxers who also offered a great show. The winners were Spanish Eduardo Reyzábal and Clara Cortés, among others.
The day ended with a cocktail party in our ambigú for VIP guests which was enlivened with music by a DJ.
