EDITORIAL PLANETA BRINGS INTRIGUE AND PASSION TO THE SCREENS OF CALLAO CITY LIGHTS

Editorial Planeta launches a spectacular 3D action on the outdoor screens of the Callao Cinemas to announce the launch of the trilogy ‘‘La saga de los longevos’, by Eva García Sáenz de Urturi, the first instalment of which, ‘La vieja familia’, has just arrived in bookshops. The other two titles in the saga, ‘Los hijos de Caín’ and ‘El camino del padre’, will be published in 2025. The piece is complemented by a surprising CGI action linked to the screens of Callao City Lights and the cinema building itself. In both cases, the work has been conceived and developed by Maramura. The media management is by Arena Media.
The 3D piece begins with a metallic sphere engraved with the infinity symbol that seems to protrude from the screen as it runs through the machinery of a clock. The image gives way to a copy of the first title in the saga, ‘The Old Family’ (2024), and then to the next two, ‘The Children of Adam’ and ‘The Way of the Father’ (2025), which also give the impression that they are coming out of the stands.

The piece of simulated outdoor advertising shows how two drones discover, after removing a giant canvas, the tower of Cines Callao converted into an enormous clock from which two of the books that make up the trilogy emerge. At the same time, another of them, specifically the first of the saga, comes out of the Callao screen to stand next to the other two, right in the corner of the building. The piece can already be seen on Planeta’s digital channels.

Set in Cantabria

Winner of the Planeta 2020 prize with Aquitania, Eva García Sáenz de Urturi is one of the best-selling Spanish authors in the world. The writer from Vitoria now brings back her first novel, ‘La vieja familia’, and plans to close ‘La saga de los longevos’, an original and exciting intrigue set in Cantabria that thrilled the public and critics in 2012. The trilogy mixes intrigue, death, investigation, history and passion in a story that narrates the vicissitudes of a family that never grows old. A thrilling story that will culminate in 2025 with the release of ‘The Father’s Way’.

‘The combination of 3D and CGI technology is a formula that contributes to the greatness of what DOOH does. As is evident in this spectacular campaign for Editorial Planeta, where the product can not only be seen in an eye-catching way on our screens, but also uses the emblematic building of the Callao Cinemas as part of the simulated outdoor advertising piece’, says Gorka Pagazaurtundua, commercial director of Callao City Lights.
