LAUNCH OF L’INTERDIT ROUGE DE GIVENCHY IN CALLAO

 

 

Sound and light show in the centre of Madrid. On the occasion of the launch of the new feminine fragranceL’Interdit Rouge Ultime, Givenchy carried out an eye-catching special action in Madrid’s Plaza del Callao that attracted the attention of the public passing through the area. A show of laser beams and electronic music, combined with the synchronised broadcasting of a video on the outdoor screens of the Callao Cinemas and El Corte Inglés, served as a preamble to the broadcasting of the new fragrance’s spot.

Thousands of people were able to enjoy this impressive show, which was preceded by a countdown on the screens and flooded the square with red laser beams, in a nod to the colour of the new fragrance’s pack and its positioning: that of a fiery, daring perfume that invites you to cross the red line. A sound and light show for which the streetlights in the square were switched off and several fog cannons were fired, helping to create an atmosphere that enhanced the show.

A grandiose set consisting of a giant reproduction of the new perfume and its packaging accompanied the broadcast of this special action in the centre of the square, which the public was able to enjoy on four occasions over the course of the weekend, specifically on Saturday and Sunday nights. The light show was created by the artist Juanjo Gnomalab and the synchronisation of the screens was directed by Callao City Lights.

An immersive and unique experience

According to Loubna Khalfi, marketing director of Givenchy Spain, “It has been an exciting project and we are extremely satisfied with the results. Our goal was to create an immersive and unique experience for the residents and visitors of Madrid. We have achieved a combination of entertainment, excitement and beauty in an iconic location that provided the perfect backdrop to present L’Interdit Rouge Ultime. Exceptional visibility during a key weekend, not only in the square itself but also on social media and in the media.

“It was a great pleasure to take part in this special Givenchy action. Once again, it has been demonstrated that activations of this type help to generate great expectation and give notoriety to the brands, creating impactful experiences that manage to connect with the public. They are actions that combine outdoor advertising and street marketing with a great capacity for media coverage and viralisation on social networks”, said Gorka Pagazaurtundua, commercial director of Callao City Lights.

PRIME VIDEO ADVERTISING DOMINATION FOR THE NEW SEASON OF ‘THE BOYS’

Callao City Lights has participated with other screens in the advertising domination action that Prime Vídeo carried out for the premiere of the third season of ‘The Boys‘. The piece, which featured different creatives on the different screens involved, was broadcast exclusively for two hours on 3 June.

Based on the comic of the same name by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson, ‘The Boys’ narrates the adventures of the eponymous team of vigilantes in their fight against various individuals with superpowers who abuse their abilities. ______________ Legal notice: Callao City Lights participates in these actions with its two screens on the façades of the Callao Cinemas. The square is dressed up as an advertiser with the participation of the screens of other outdoor advertising companies.

SAMSUNG #DESPLIEGATUMUNDO IN CALLAO SQUARE

 

Samsung Electronics, with the help of the Cheil Spain agency, carried out an original activation in a square to mark the launch of the new Galaxy Z Fold 3 5G and Galaxy Flip 3 5G models, with folding technology. It consisted of a contortionist show that could be seen on the digital screens in the area, including the one that Callao City Lights has in the Plaza del Callao.

The show was designed to emulate the flexible features of the new foldable Samsung models and starred professional contortionists with experience in well-known shows such as Cirque du Soleil, Centerentolla or Panthera Dinner and Dance.

Below is a brief summary of the contortionism show #DespliegaTuMundo that we experienced last 06/09 in Plaza de Callao, Madrid. In which different artists performed a real exhibition of flexibility to show the multiple possibilities offered by the new #GalaxyZFlip3 5G.

Carolina Herrera used our screens as part of a spectacular synchronised action leaving the audience in Callao speechless.

A big blackout followed by an impressive thunderstorm where several lightning bolts went through the screens in the square, accompanied by big sounding thunder that surprised everyone who passed by. The action ended with the campaign’s launch screening of Bad Boy, the new men’s fragrance by Carolina Herrera.

HBO ESPAÑA® SYNCHRONIZED ACTION WITH ‘GAME OF THRONES’

 

In order to open its mouth and generate expectation for the next premiere of the last season of Juego de Tronos, HBO España has carried out a spectacular synchronized action on the digital screens of Callao City Lights and El Corte Inglés, located in Madrid’s Plaza del Callao.

Under the hashtag #PORELTRONO, the protagonists of the series ‘invaded’ the square, while two string quartets performed, live and at street level, the soundtrack of this cult series for millions of spectators around the world.

The action is part of a global campaign created to announce the premiere of the eighth and final season of the series, which will take place in April 2019.

THE SCREENS OF CALLAO, PROTAGONISTS OF A SYNCHRONIZED ACTION OF EASYJET

 

Under the motto ‘Wherever your imagination takes you’, EasyJet turned Callao into a stage for attractive images that invited people to travel, thanks to a video projected synchronously on the screens in the square, including Callao City Lights. In this visual way, the airline was promoting the variety of destinations it flies to all over the world and the different options it has to choose from to enjoy a new holiday break at the beginning of autumn.

The action, designed by the agency OMD in collaboration with D6 began at 7pm and lasted 2 hours.

SAMSUNG ANNOUNCES THE GALAXY NOTE9 LAUNCH WITH A SYNCHRONISED ACTION ON CALLAO’S SCREENS

 

To raise awareness of the new Galaxy Note9 launch, Samsung Spain and its agency Cheil Spain held a spectacular synchronised action on the digital screens in Madrid’s Square of Callao, including the two Callao City Lights screens, located on the outside of the Cines Callao.

From 24 August until 6 September, a video was broadcast about the new device’s main new features: a battery that lasts all day (up to 1 terabyte, with expandable memory), a more powerful S Pen, a smart camera that automatically optimises, and versions in three different colours (blue, purple and pink). The synchronisation effect reached its pivotal moment when it showed an example of how the S Pen works: the stroke went linearly across all the screens in the square, drawing different figures on each one of them, turning Callao into a true visual spectacle.

For Samsung Spain, this is the second synchronised action it has carried out this year on the screens at Callao Square. The previous action took place last spring, to launch the new Galaxy S9 and S9+ devices. Entitled “Parkour,” it won Cheil Spain and Samsung Electronics several international advertising awards; two gold prizes at the El Sol 2018 festival, one in the Media section and another in the Outdoor section, and a Silver Lion at Cannes Lions 2018, in Outdoor.

Titulada ‘Parkour’, consiguió que Cheil Spain y Samsung Electronics obtuvieran con ella varios reconocimientos publicitarios internacionales; dos oros en el festival El Sol 2018, uno en el apartado de Medios y otro en el de Exterior, y un león de plata en Cannes Lions 2018, en Outdoor.

SEVERAL “TRACEURS” GO TROUGH CALLAO’S SCREENS TO ANNOUNCE THE SAMSUNG GALAXY S9 LAUNCH

 

Because of the new Galaxy S9 and S9+ devices’ launch, Samsung Spain, through its agency Cheil Spain, did an ad hoc video production to create a synchronised action. To do so, they used the 9 digital screens located in Callao Square, including the 2 owned by Callao City Lights.

The video showcases several individuals (“traceurs”) jumping from one screen to the next, doing parkour. With this discipline, adepts leap from one place to the next, using the elements they find along the way as a springboard, as if true urban athletes. These spectacular images were sometimes slowed down to show the benefits of the super slow-motion mode on the new Samsung devices. Once again, a surprising action that masterfully combined creativity and technology.

JURASSIC PARK’S DINOSAURS COME TO CALLAO

 

For the world premiere of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, Universal Pictures used Callao City Lights’ outdoor screens for a synchronised action, announcing the viewing of the first trailer for the film the following day. This new instalment in the Jurassic Park saga, this time directed by Juan Antonio Bayona, will premiere in Spain 8 June 2018. And the Cines Callao will be one of the cinemas showing it.
