PREMIERE OF ‘LAS HIJAS DE LA CRIADA’

Atresmedia once again chose our venue, this time for the premiere of the series ‘Las hijas de la criada’ (The Maid’s Daughters), based on the novel of the same name by Sonsoles Ónega, which won the 2023 Planeta Prize.

Many familiar faces attended this screening in our Theatre 1, where the first of the series’ eight episodes was shown. The stars of the series were in attendance, including Alain Hernández and Verónica Sánchez. And, of course, Sonsoles Ónega, who was very excited about this premiere.

The photocall, set up at the entrance to Cines Callao and broadcast live on the outdoor screens, was also attended by Roberto Leal, Alberto Chicote, Manel Fuentes, Cristina Pedroche, Roberto Brasero, Tamara Gorro, Begoña Villacís and María José Suárez, among others.

Directed by Alejo Flah and Menna Fité, “Las hijas de la criada” is a drama set in the early 20th century, which offers a portrait of the era through the Valdés family saga. Doña Inés, matriarch of the saga and faithful wife of Don Gustavo, must survive heartbreak, the pain of abandonment and power struggles to make her true daughter the heir to an entire empire, at a time when women were not allowed to be masters of their own lives.
