AMENÁBAR PRE-PREMIERES ‘EL CAUTIVO’ AT CALLAO CITY LIGHTS

Alejandro Amenábar chose Cines Callao for the premiere of his new feature film: “El cautivo” (The Captive), which tells the story of Miguel de Cervantes’ imprisonment in Algiers. Starring Julio Peña, Alessandro Borghi, Fernando Tejero, Miguel Rellán, Luna Berroa and José Manuel Poga, the film has generated excitement for its portrayal of the relationship between the playwright and his captor.

Many familiar faces attended this eagerly awaited preview, which took place in our two theatres and was attended by the Prime Minister, Pedro Sánchez, his wife, Begoña Gómez, and the Minister of the Interior, Fernando Grande-Marlaska.

In addition to the film’s director and cast, Alex de la Iglesia, Carlos Areces, Arturo Valls, Alaska and Mario Vaquerizo, Belén Rueda, Boris Izaguirre, Paz Padilla, Álvaro Morte, Alberto Chicote, Susi Caramelo, Marta Robles and Miguel Lago, among others, walked the red carpet.
