OTTOBOCK PRESENTS ‘INNOVATION IS YOU’ AT CALLAO CITY LIGHTS

Ottobock, a global company specialising in rehabilitation technologies and solutions, chose our space to celebrate ‘Innovation is you’, an event where the latest developments and trends that are transforming the quality of life of people with disabilities were presented.

The meeting brought together experts and people committed to inclusion and empowerment through technology. Speakers shared their inspiring stories of overcoming challenges. Through demonstrations and interactive exhibits, attendees were able to discover how Ottobock’s latest technologies are improving people’s quality of life.

Among the speakers were Prof. Dr. Bernd Schwien, who has forged a brilliant career in technology management as Technology Transfer Manager at the University of Göttingen and CEO of MBM ScienceBridge GmbH; Desirée Vila Bargiela, Spanish athlete in adapted athletics, who achieved fifth place in the long jump and a new Spanish record in the T63 category at the World Championships in Paris 2023; Alejandro Marín López, ex-athlete specialised in middle distance running and currently responsible at Ottobock for the peninsular training of doctors and orthopaedic technicians, and Iván Corretja Verdegay, who after a motorbike accident at the age of 14 that affected his career as a tennis player, dedicated himself to sports management and became a reference in the field of paddle tennis. Currently a lawyer specialising in business communication and sports representation, he has managed the careers of prominent sports figures such as Àlex Corretja, Xavi Hernández and Gemma Mengual, among others.
