CALLAO CITY LIGHTS STAGE OF THE XVI EDITION OF MCB’S RECOGNITION NIGHT

On 18 December, Madrid City Council honoured 17 congress tourism prescriptors for their work in promoting the city as a congress venue. Inaugurated by the Councillor for Tourism, Almudena Maíllo, and promoted by the Madrid Convention Bureau (MCB) as part of its ‘Ambassadors Programme’, the gala was also attended by our Events Director, Sergio Gómez, who welcomed the attendees to the event.

The awards ceremony, which was enlivened by a band that played well-known soundtracks and melodies, was preceded by a cocktail for the award winners that took place in our ambigú. Likewise, at the end of the gala, the attendees were able to chat and enjoy another cocktail in the same Room 1, where the awards were presented. Half of the seats in the hall were removed so that both meetings could be held in the same space.

The honorees at this year’s event represent 13 of the most outstanding congresses in the fields of science, technology, engineering, medicine and aviation that Madrid has hosted in 2023. With these new distinctions, there are now nearly 270 professionals recognised during the 16 Recognition Night, an initiative that forms part of the Madrid Convention Bureau’s (MCB) ‘Ambassadors Programme’ whose mission is to assist experts and agents in areas such as research and science, university teaching and the aviation sector.
