EVENTS IN OUR SPACE
CALLAO CITY LIGHTS, SETTING FOR THE READING OF THE IRIS AWARDS 2025 NOMINEES
There was great excitement at Cines Callao as the nominees for the 2025 Iris Awards from the Television Academy were announced. A live event held at the doors of our cinemas was broadcast live on the screens of Callao City Lights.
Presenters Xuso Jones and Ana Brito were in charge of reading out the list of nominees for these awards, which recognize audiovisual excellence in Spanish, at the photocall located at the entrance to Cines Callao. Guests at the event, including well-known faces from television and film, were able to watch the ceremony from the terrace of our building, where several monitors were set up and breakfast was served.
A total of 120 nominees are competing for these awards in the following categories: Best News Program, Best Current Affairs or Magazine Program, Best Entertainment Program, Best Fiction Program, Best Educational Program, Best Children’s Program, Best Documentary Program, Best News Presenter, Best Entertainment Program Presenter, Best Current Affairs Program Presenter, Best Actress, Best Actor, Best Reporter, Best Program Direction, Best Fiction Direction ‘Antonio Mercero’, Best Production, Best Fiction Production, Best Entertainment Production, Best Fiction Screenplay, and Best Entertainment Screenplay.
The gala to announce the winners will be held on February 16, 2026, at the Teatro Real in Madrid.
