The presentation of the cover of Rosalía’s new album and everything that the Catalan artist’s presence in the area entailed has once again put the spotlight on the appeal of Plaza del Callao and its screens. The ABC newspaper has published a report discussing this: ‘The busiest square in Spain and the third busiest in Europe is establishing itself as a global showcase for artists, brands and institutions. Its international and commercial projection coexists with tradition,’ it begins.
It adds: ‘It’s a fact: every artist, musical group, brand or institution dreams of showing off in Callao. Today, the square is a veritable urban showcase where history continues to be written every day, merging its legacy with contemporary creativity. From Brad Pitt and Quentin Tarantino to Richard Gere and Ben Affleck…’.
