Callao City Arts

CULTURA INQUIETA AND CINES CALLAO WILL EXHIBIT INSPIRATIONAL ARTWORKS TO CELEBRATE THE BEGINNING OF THE REOPENING AFTER LOCKDOWN

In order to celebrate the lockdown end, Cultura Inquieta and Callao City Lights have prepared, within their cultural program Callao City Arts, a selection of video art and photography pieces that will be shown over the next few weeks on the Callao Cinemas’ outdoor screens.

An artistic collage that aims to be inspiring and good vibrations generator. And which will be enjoyed by all those who circulate in Madrid’s Plaza del Callao and the surrounding area throughout the month of May.

Art pieces signed by photographers and video artists with a consolidated international reputation who have already participated in Callao City Arts over the last few months. Photos by artists such as Noell Ozsvald, Martina Matencio, Wilma Lorenzo, Maria Svarbova, Ibai Acevedo, Giuseppe Gradella, Elizaveta Porodina and Marina Sersale. And video art pieces by Oliver Latta, Marco Mori, Javier Soler “Bastard Films”, Anthony Samaniego, Laurie Rowan, J. A. Durán or Clément Mazieres.

The pieces’ common denominator that will be shown on the screens of Madrid’s Plaza de Callao in May is: the colour.

The theme and the composition transmit those positive sensations with which to start this new stage in our lives.

Callao City Arts is the cultural program launched a year ago by Cultura Inquieta and Callao City Lights, with the aim of bringing video art and photography closer to the street, exhibiting the work of new and established artists on the exterior screens of the Callao Cinemas.
