LOPE DE VEGA’S SCREENS JOIN IN THE URKUPIÑA CELEBRATIONS
The screens at the Lope de Vega Theatre served as a showcase for the celebrations honouring the Bolivian Virgin of Urkupiña. A festival right on Madrid’s Gran Vía, featuring 5,000 Bolivian dancers and delegations from across Spain and Europe, which transformed the landscape of central Madrid for a few hours.
With nearly two decades of history in our city, the Urkupiña festival has become a meeting place for the Bolivian community living in Spain. The event was organised by the Federation for the Integration of Bolivian Cultural Associations in Madrid (FIACBOL), the ACOBE Foundation and the Bolivian Embassy in Spain.
