CALLAO VIBRATES TO THE RHYTHM OF A MUSICAL AT THE PRESENTATION OF THE NEW THEATRICAL SEASON

On the occasion of the presentation of the new 2024-2025 theatre season, Madrid’s Plaza del Callao became the city’s stage par excellence for a few hours. Hundreds of people came to the doors of our cinemas to enjoy, live and direct, some of the most outstanding musicals of the moment, which were performed there for the occasion: Aladdín, Los tacones de papá, Los chicos del coro and Los pilares de la tierra, in this last case for the first time, as it will not be premiered until 14 November.

Both the presentation of the event, by Cayetana Guillén Cuervo, president of the Spanish Academy of Performing Arts, and the musical performances were broadcast live on the screens of Callao City Lights, where advertising for the theatrical offerings of the capital could also be seen, as well as the advertising campaign ‘Come to the theatre, live Madrid’, launched to promote the new season made up of 300 shows and 13 musicals.

Organised by the Association of Producers and Theatres of Madrid (APTEM), the event was attended by the Mayor of Madrid, José Luis Martínez Almeida, the President of the Association of Producers and Theatres of Madrid, Jesús Cimarro, the Delegate for Culture, Tourism and Sport, Marta Rivera de la Cruz, and the Delegate Councillor for Tourism, Almudena Maíllo.
