The Rioja Qualified Designation of Origin chose our venue to celebrate its centenary, in an exclusive evening that brought together wine lovers, businesspeople from the sector and prominent figures from the media. The event highlighted Rioja’s legacy and international profile, as well as its important role as a Spanish brand.

The event kicked off with a large photocall set up in Plaza del Callao, inspired by the landscapes of La Rioja, while the centenary campaign “Vívete un Rioja” (Experience a Rioja) was displayed on the outdoor screen located in the square.

Presented by model Nieves Álvarez, the event took place in our iconic Room 1, which was converted into a unique scenographic installation that transported attendees to a landscape of vineyards, designed to reflect the diversity of the 600 wineries that make up the DOCa Rioja. Lighting, textures and projections enveloped the audience in the richness of the Designation of Origin, offering a sensory and emotional journey through its history and territory.

The inauguration was led by Raquel Pérez Cuevas, president of the DOCa Rioja Regulatory Council, and was attended by prominent figures from the cultural and social spheres, including Tamara Falcó and Íñigo Onieva, who joined in the celebration at one of Madrid’s most iconic venues.
