MARTÍNEZ-ALMEIDA AND YOLANDA DÍAZ, AT THE PREMIERE OF ‘CUÑADOS’

 

A great reception for the premiere at Cines Callao of the film ‘Cuñados‘, debut film by Toño López and first feature film by the production company Portocabo (series ‘Hierro’). An event organised with all the recommended health measures, which was attended by personalities such as the mayor of Madrid, José Luis Martínez-Almeida, the vice-president of the Government, Yolanda Díaz, and the president of the Provincial Council of Ourense, Manuel Baltar, along with many well-known faces from the world of cinema and television.

The film ‘Cuñados’ is a comedy of entanglement that narrates the criminal adventures of three brothers-in-law united by chance and embarked on a crazy plan. The film stars some of the best-known and most beloved faces of the Galician film scene: Xosé A. Touriñán (El desorden que dejas; Pequeñas coincidencias; Fariña), Miguel de Lira (Vivir sin permiso; Somos gente honrada), Federico Pérez Rey (El desorden que dejas; Néboa, Mar Adentro), Eva Fernández (Auga Seca, Néboa; Fariña), Iolanda Muiños (Fariña; Néboa) and María Vázquez (Quien a hierro mata; Vivir sin permiso), among others.

The premiere was presented by the producer Alfonso Blanco, the director Toño López and the protagonists Xosé A. Touriñán, Miguel de Lira, Federico Pérez Rey, Eva Fernández and María Vázquez. All of them also attended the morning press screening, which was attended by around twenty journalists.

Distributed by Filmax, this production has been produced with the participation of RTVE, Televisión de Galicia and Movistar+ and with the subsidy of the Axencia Galega das Industrias Culturais (Agadic). Filmed entirely in the province of Ourense, ‘Cuñados’ has also been made with the collaboration of the Diputación de Ourense and D.O. Ribeiro.
