CALLAO CITY LIGHTS, AT THE PRESENTATION OF THE XXI INTERNATIONAL SHORT FILM FESTIVAL ADN

Fran López Gallego, director of Cines Callao, was one of the guests at the presentation of the XXI International University Short Film Festival AdN which, organised by the Faculty of Communication and Arts of the Nebrija University, will take place on 8th May in our cinemas. A meeting held at the Embassy of Colombia, host country of this edition, in which it was announced that 169 short films from 2028 university students from 7 countries will participate in this year’s edition, which is an absolute record for the longest-running university festival in Spain.

During his speech, the director of Cines Callao highlighted the union of culture and education in a gala that will take place in a ‘unique location’, in a historic building in the centre of Madrid, the Cines Callao, which will celebrate its first centenary next year.

The presentation, chaired by María Andrea Torres, Minister Plenipotentiary of the Embassy of Colombia, was also attended by Natalia Reyes, President of the Festival Jury and President of the Colombian Film Academy; Vania Rojas, Director of Liaison of the Casa de México Foundation, promoter of the Ibero-American AdN Award; Marta Saavedra, Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Communication and Arts at Nebrija University; Nicolás Grijalba, Director of the Department of Communication at Nebrija University, and Carlos Rodríguez Alarcón, Director of AdN, among other professionals and personalities.
